About these terms

These terms apply when you book a tour or experience on experientialtraveller.lk with Experiential Traveller, a private tour operator based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. When you tick the box at checkout, you agree to these terms, our Payment and Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy.

Making a booking

You choose your journey with the booking form on each tour or experience page: your start date, the number of days (3 to 16), the travellers in each age group and the vehicle. A booking can include up to 35 travellers and must include at least one adult.

Please check the details in your cart before you pay. Your booking is placed when you pay the 50% advance at checkout, and you receive an order confirmation by email.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars (USD) and are worked out per day for each traveller, plus a daily vehicle fee. You pay a 50% advance online through PayHere when you book, and the balance in cash or by card on arrival in Sri Lanka. Our Payment and Refund Policy explains how prices are worked out and when each payment is due.

What your journey includes

Each tour page lists what that journey includes. Our thematic tours include:

• Transport — an air-conditioned private vehicle with a professional driver; airport pick-up or drop-off can be arranged on request
• Accommodation — half board, at the listed eco lodge, villa, boutique hotel, glamping site or hotel
• Water — two 1-litre bottles per traveller per day
• Services — an English-speaking licensed tourist guide, a refreshment and snack bucket on tour and safari days, and a toiletry pack
• Fees — entry tickets to cultural sites, national parks and parks, safari jeep, ranger and motor boat fees

Not included: lunch, air fares, visa fees, tips and porterage, and personal expenses.

Passports, visas and insurance

Visa fees are not included in the price of your journey.

Taxation

Taxes & levies are included. Any tax & levy revisions – will change the final invoice

Foreign Currency Rates

USD to LKR rate is at the Selling Rate of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on the date of payment. Above terms & conditions (including rates) are subject to change with a minimum 30 days’ notice
